Abstract

This research examines the application of Near Field Communication (NFC) technology in the pharmaceutical supply chain and addresses its impact on risk management and consumer health. NFC enhances drug safety by ensuring traceability and proper storage conditions for pharmaceuticals from the manufacturer to the end-user. This study explores how NFC offers an effective solution in the logistics, storage, and transportation processes of the pharmaceutical supply chain. The research is enriched with a literature review and data obtained from the industry. The results show that NFC improves quality standards in the pharmaceutical supply chain and reduces losses caused by spoilage. This technology not only protects consumer health but also increases cost-efficiency and operational effectiveness in the sector. The findings of the study provide guidance for future research and aim to provide innovative solutions to practitioners.
